What is a CRMR?
The Council-certified Residential Microbial Remediator (CMR) is our entry-level certification for mold remediators.
A CMR is certified as knowledgeable in conducting microbial remediation projects.
To earn and maintain the CMR, every candidate must:
-
Attest to current employment in the field of microbial remediation
-
Pass a psychometrically rated examination based on broad industry knowledge rather than a course curriculum
-
Earn the unanimous approval of the CRMR certification board
-
Re-certify as a CRMR no more than once, after which certification as a CMR is required, unless the certificant continues to work under the direct supervision of a CMRS.
-
Maintain the highest ethical standards
The CRMR certification is not independently accredited. This program is designed to provide entry-level mold remediators with a path toward independent, accredited certification in their field.
